Abby Crisostomo leads on climate adaptation, green infrastructure and planning policy at the Greater London Authority. She is an urban planner and has worked at the intersection of environment with cities for more than a decade in the UK and US. Her current work includes integrated water management, flood risk, sustainable drainage and heat risk policy, as well as integrating green infrastructure solutions into the built environment. Past work includes sustainable design and construction for the London Olympic Park Legacy developments; regional water supply and stormwater policy, delivery and advocacy at the Metropolitan Planning Council in Chicago; and freshwater policy and outreach at the Alliance for the Great Lakes. Abby chairs a national Policy Leadership Group on Sustainable Drainage and Water Reuse for CIWEM. She was also recent past Vice Chair of the International Water Association’s Public and Customer Communications Specialist Group and advisor to the IWA’s project on reducing water utility emissions.
